Clemence previews Crewe visit

Gills Head Coach says he wants to make Priestfield an uncomfortable venue for visiting sides.

Stephen Clemence doesn't want a Good Friday, he wants a Great one, which means kicking off a busy period with maximum points.

The Easter weekend gives the Gills two cracking opportunities to add some important points to their tally at a critical stage of the season, with fixtures against Crewe (Good Friday) and Harrogate (Easter Monday). Gillingham's manager Head Coach isn't daunted by the task however, and says, 'bring them on'.

"We are really looking forward to playing two games in quick succession," said Clemence. "Especially having just won our last away game. We want back-to-back wins and we are giving it our full focus.

"If we get two good results I imagine we will be right in there at the end of the season. If you have two bad results, then that is not good at this stage of the season.

"The two games will come quickly, but we will treat them one at a time. First we focus on Crewe and how we will beat them. The lads are feeling good and are full of confidence, I have seen that in training this morning.

"We have put a game plan in place and we are looking forward to trying to get three points. They are a good team, but so are we! We have a lot of supporters coming, who I am sure will get right behind the boys. We will make Priestfield a difficult place for Crewe on Friday. We want our players and our supporters to make Crewe feel uncomfortable.

"The aim is to get two good results against Crewe and Harrogate. We are looking forward to them and I can't wait."
