Gills capture signing of Armani Little

Gills clinch the signing of Armani Little.

Mark Bonner has made his second signing of the summer with the capture of midfielder Armani Little.

The 27-year-old arrives at Priestfield having turned down a new offer at AFC Wimbledon.

Little, who scored four times in 44 appearances in all competitions last season, began his career in the academy at Southampton and made his senior debut for the U21's team in an EFL Trophy group stage game against Peterborough in August 2017.

He played 12 games for Woking while on loan during the 2018-19 season, scoring against Oxford City in a 2-1 win. He agreed a permanent deal with Torquay in the summer of 2019 and made 89 appearances across a three-year spell, scoring 19 times, before joining Forest Green for an undisclosed fee in 2022.

He spent half a season at the club before joining AFC Wimbledon on loan in January 2023, a move which was made permanent in July of the same year.

Manager Mark Bonner said: "Armani is an excellent addition to our midfield. A tenacious, all energy player who plays with personality. He will give us good balance and handles the ball well with a good passing range. He has a character that everyone will warm to and will help us become the team we want to be."

Armani added: "I am really pleased to be here and can't wait to get going. I like to get on the ball and hopefully I can add a few goals."

Armani will officially become a Gillingham player on July 1, subject to EFL ratification. An interview with the player will appear on iFollow in due course.
