The club was devastated earlier this week to hear of the death of Alan Liptrott.
Alan, 77, former Chairman of the Supporters’ Club, used to sort travel for away fixtures and was actively involved in trying to keep the club in business during a troublesome early part of 1995.
He also ran the social club on Redfern Avenue prior to stadium development work.
Residing in Walderslade for most of his life, he enjoyed his deserved retirement in Sandgate.
He leaves behind wife Gloria, son Gary, and daughter Zoe.
