SO Legal Stadium
Saturday February 8, 2025

Team News:
Conor Masterson (hamstring) will not be available as he continues his recovery from injury. He had a scan earlier in the week to assess how much longer he could be out for.
JJ Morgan (foot) is a doubt following the ankle issue he picked up against Tranmere. Ethan Coleman (calf) will be assessed up until the last moment.
Andy Smith and Dominic Corness are both expected to travel.

As for Barrow, former Gills loanee Connor Mahoney could start for the Bluebirds who have recently appointed Andy Whing as their new manager. Emile Acquah is likely to lead the attack with new signing MJ Williams being a presence in the centre of midfield.
Manager Comments:
Andy Whing – "Maybe we are a little bit too naïve, and not ruthless enough in both boxes – one to keep the ball out of the back of our net, and two to try to land on the end of things.
“We need to attack the ball a little bit more, have pot-shots and try our luck a bit more in the final third.
“But we need to be a bit more clinical and ruthless, which we have worked on quite a lot this week.”
John Coleman – “Our problem scoring goals is the philosophy and the identity that we have got at the moment, and the over reliance on going backwards, rather than going forwards.
“Gillingham Football Club and Gillingham fans deserve a team, certainly one that attacks teams and goes forward, not just once or twice, but the feeling for me is that we are not dominating games, we’re not getting on the front foot, we’re not sustaining enough attacks.”
