Fleetwood Town v Gillingham

Highbury Stadium

Sky Bet League 2

Saturday August 24, 2024

Kick-Off, 3pm

Team News:

Bradley Dack will not feature at Highbury as he continues to build on his fitness. Josh Andrews and Elliott Nevitt are very unlikely to be risked, however Aaron Rowe and Tim Dieng could make the travelling squad.

Conor Masterson is also unlikely to feature following a foot injury. Euan Williams remains suspended following his dismissal at Swansea in the Carabao Cup.

As for Fleetwood they could well field the same XI that drew 2-2 with Notts County on Sunday.

Manager Comments:

Charlie Adam – “We need to be together as a club so we can be fully focused on what we’re trying to do in the end, we will work hard this week as we have been doing and we can dust ourselves off to put on a good performance against Gillingham next time out.”

Mark Bonner - “I went to the game on Sunday at Notts County where they were two-up and conceded a late penalty but it was a fair result on the balance of the play.

“They played well and have had a really good start. I know them from last season, I know a number of their players and I think they’ve signed well.

“We have to make sure we start well with the players that are available and have good impact from the bench like we have done.”
