Team News:
Mark Bonner has hinted that many players who have recovered from injury could play a part in Tuesday’s trophy tie. Bradley, Dack, Ethan Coleman, Elliott Nevitt and Josh Andrews could all feature.
Joe Gbode is also an attacking option, along with Marcus Wyllie. Alex Giles and Harry Webster are available in defence.
Tim Dieng, Aaron Rowe and Jake Turner will sit out, as will Euan Williams who is on international duty.
As for Peterborough, the current holders are also likely to make changes, many of which forced upon them to international call ups. Former Gills defender, Emmanuel Fernandez, could feature.

Mark Bonner – “For us, at the moment, with players returning it might be really well timed for some. It can give young players an opportunity that they might not have got normally and it can give players that need minutes a game.”
Darren Ferguson – “I will be making changes, but certainly not wholesale changes. We have players away on international duty so there will be changes in those positions and in the attacking areas because we need to be better in the final third.”

The teams last met competitively in April 2021 when a Connor Ogilvie goal was enough to clinch all three points at London Road. Gillingham last defeated Posh at home in January 2016.
Overall, the teams have clashed on 54 occasions. Peterborough have won 18 of those, with Gills three behind on 15.
