Team News:

Jimmy-Jay Morgan is eligible for selection for Saturday’s game having signed on loan from Chelsea, however it remains to be seen whether he will be named in the squad.

Oli Hawkins has trained but this game may have come too soon for him. Conor Masterson and Marcus Wyllie will sit out.

As for Tranmere, Luke Norris and Regan Hendry will be missing. Sam Finley however returns following suspension, however Declan Drysdale sits out for that same reason.

Manager Comments:

Nigel Adkins: “We’ve got good players. We’ve got individual players who are very, very good. Collectively, at times, we do some really good things.

“We’re getting punished at the moment. What we’ve got to do is keep the players believing in themselves, keep working hard, that’s massively important.

“The clarity of message, doing the basics well to an elite level, and bring it all together.”

John Coleman: "I think the whole place and the fans need a feel-good factor, and we can get that with a couple of goals in a game, but they [the fans] need a lift and hopefully we can give them that lift.”

Previous Meetings:

The clubs have met on 40 previous occasions and it’s Tranmere who have the edge when it comes to the head-to-head statistics with 15 wins to nine.

Gills haven’t won at Prenton Park since December 2013 when a double from Adebayo Akinfenwa was enough to clinch a 2-1 win just five days before Christmas.

The reverse fixture earlier this season resulted in Gills winning 3-0, with Armani Little and Jayden Clarke (2) finding the back of the net with Ethan Coleman having been sent off.

Odds:

Tranmere win = 5/4

Draw = 11/5

Gills win = 2/1

Special Bet: Bradley Dack to score first in a 2-1 Gills victory = 80/1.

Tickets:

Tickets are now off sale from MEMS Priestfield Stadium, however they are available on the day. A price increase will apply.

Visiting fans will be situated in the Everclad Cowshed Stand which is behind one of the goals. Collections are to be made near the away turnstiles.
