The Football Club is delighted to announce that Shower Seal UK have become the official sponsor of the Brian Moore Stand.
The agreement, which will last for the next five years, will see Shower Seal UK branding materials covering the entire Town End, however the name of the stand will not be changing.
Shower Seal UK, based in Hoo, Rochester, are a trusted local company providing shower door seals, shower door rollers and tap cartridges to the public, wholesalers and plumbing shops via a user-friendly website: https://showersealuk.com
They are the UK's largest stockists of shower door seals operating from their warehouse based locally in Hoo. From there they dispatch over 2500 shower door seals a week to the UK, and EU.
Supporters will be able to view the new branding for themselves this Saturday when Gills entertain league leaders Port Vale at MEMS Priestfield Stadium (3pm).
Paul Wenham, the Managing Director at Shower Seal UK Ltd, said: "I'm so excited to be able to say that our business is now in partnership with Gillingham Football Club. This club means everything to me, it's where I have experienced some of the best, and worst, moments of my life!
“Being a ' Junior Gill' with a ticket costing 50p back in the late 80's, fantastic trips to Wembley, watching FA Cup wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Bradford and the trips to Arsenal and Chelsea, the league survival ensuring victory over Halifax in 1993 and standing on the old Rainham End terrace with my Dad.
“I still have my piece of terrace in our garden and, of course, having met my wife Sarah at a game, Gillingham FC really has shaped my life to a large extent.”
Gillingham Football Club’s Managing Director, Joe Comper added:
“I am absolutely delighted to have Shower Seal UK on board as official sponsors of the Brian Moore Stand. Paul is a huge Gillingham supporter and his team have been a pleasure to work with.
“They want to be a big part of our journey moving forwards and I am grateful for their continued backing of the Football Club.”
Shower Seal UK, a family owned business which has been running since 2012, now supply seals to wholesalers, shops and tradesmen across the UK as well as to hotels, cruise ships, luxury yacht builders, glass sliding door installers and the general public via their website to anywhere in the world.
They believe the growth of the business has not only been down to hard work but also their philosophy of keeping things simple.
Paul Wenham explains the thinking behind the decision to sponsor the Brian Moore Stand.
He added: "There is one thing at Priestfield that everyone seems to dislike, especially away fans, and that is our 'temporary stand,' The Town End. The national media called it 'the worst away end' in the UK and admittedly calling it a temporary stand when it has been up for 25 years is a bit laughable, but I saw something different.
“I saw an opportunity, the chance to promote my business and partner with the club and hopefully offer a small visual improvement to the Town End at the same time.
"With that in mind I proposed to the club in a meeting with Brad, Shannon, Joe and Mike that I would like to sponsor the 'the worst away end' in football. Once everyone had stopped laughing I explained that I felt it would help tidy the stand up a little and if people wanted to say the Shower Seal UK stand is the worst in football then I was happy with that, as any publicity was good publicity for us!"
As part of the deal, Shower Seal UK are offering 20% off their shower door seals to any Gillingham supporter that visits them in person to collect.
They will also be running competitions throughout the season via their social media platforms.
