VOTE | GOAL OF THE SEASON 2024/25

The shortlist is as follows:

GOAL A - Jack Nolan v Carlisle

On the opening day of the season Jack went on a solo run on the right wing, evading a couple of challenges along the way, before entering the penalty area and cutting inside to make space for a shot which flew into the roof of the net.

GOAL B - Jonny Williams v Carlisle

In the same fixture as Jack's goal, Jonny was in the right place at the right time late in the game on the edge of the box to control the ball, before drilling a right footed effort into the bottom corner.

GOAL C - Jayden Clarke v Tranmere

A well worked team goal involved Marcus Wyllie taking on his man before opening up his body and playing a perfect pass to Jayden Clarke who took a touch before slotting the ball beyond the reach of the upcoming keeper.

GOAL D - Elliott Nevitt v Notts County

Remeao, from inside his own half, picked out Nevitt with a beautifully weighted left foot pass which split the Notts defence. Nevitt timed his run perfectly and rounded the goalkeeper before slotting home.

GOAL E - Armani Little v Accrington

A cross from Hutton was not caught by the Accrington keeper, the ball settled nicely for the oncoming Little who, left footed, went for power and found the roof of the net with a terrific strike.

GOAL F - Robbie McKenzie v Walsall

A throw in on the far side of the field was sent towards Sam Gale who immediately picked out McKenzie to his right side. Robbie took one touch and rifled an effort from 25 yards into the top corner to bring the Gills level against the league leaders.

GOAL G - Max Clark v Accrington Stanley

The club's left-back was unmarked inside the Stanley penalty area late in the game, and Armani Little picked him out with a precise short pass. Clark took a touch and, with a lot of power, sent a shot into the roof of the net.

GOAL H - Remeao Hutton v Salford City

Hutton had pushed up to limit space for the defence to work in, and he intercepted a pass before advancing into the area.

He brought the ball onto his left foot before picking out the opposite corner with a precise and cool finish.
