Turner arrived at Priestfield in the summer of 2022 having been released by Premier League side Newcastle United. 

During his first season at ME7, the stopper worked as an understudy to Glenn Morris but played 18 times in all competitions, most notably in the penalty shootout win over Brentford in November 2002.

He began the following season as the number one and played 40 times overall, with Glenn replacing Jake due to illness on a couple of occasions.

The 25-year-old has represented England at U18 and U19 level.
