Alex Giles is a graduate of the club's academy and made his first-team professional debut against Portsmouth in an EFL Trophy group stage fixture at Fratton Park in October 2023.

He has enjoyed loan spells at Sheppey United and Chatham Town and has played a number of games at centre-back during FA Youth Cup campaigns.

He signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2023.
