The 6’6 striker signed for the Gills in January of 2023 from Mansfield Town for an undisclosed fee.

The former Portsmouth and Ipswich front man scored his first Gillingham goal against Grimsby at Priestfield in February 2023, before bagging another a few days later away at Rochdale.

Hawkins played under Kenny Jackett during his time at Fratton Park and was part of the team that won the EFL Trophy in 2019, scoring an important penalty in the shootout against Sunderland at Wembley.
