BIRTHS...
1962 - Andy Perry
The winger cost £5,000 from Portsmouth in September 1988 and made his debut as a substitute at Huddersfield Town.
He made 13 league appearances in his one season with the Gills.
1977 - Manny Omoyinmi
Another winger who made 11 appearances after joining on loan from West Ham United in September 1999.
Two of those games, against Bolton Wanderers in the Worthington Cup, proved costly as it led to Harry Redknapp's side losing a replayed quarter-final tie against Aston Villa after Omoyinmi had played as a late substitute and Villa protested.
He never played for the Hammers again and their secretary resigned over the matter.
Manny later returned to Kent with Gravesend & Northfleet and Margate (loan).
1984 - Chris Dickson
The former Erith & Belvedere forward twice joined the Gills on loan from Charlton Athletic.
He was prolific in his first three month spell from September 2007 netting 11 times in 14 games.
Unfortunately he couldn't replicate that form when returning in February 2010 and scored once in nine league games.
Chris has spent the last couple of seasons with Cypriots Nea Salamis Famagusta and helped them gain promtion to the top flight last season.
1990 - Luke Rooney
The attacking midfielder joined the club as a trainee in 2007 and worked his way through make his debut early in 2009-10 against Plymouth Argyle in the Carling Cup.
Luke, who was born in Bermondsey, went on to score six goals in 61 appearances for the Gills before joining Swindon Town in January 2012.
He has since been loaned out to Burton Albion and Rotherham United.
