BIRTHS...
1970 - Tony Eeles
Tony, who came through the ranks here at Priestfield, scored one of the Gills most important goals when he opened the scoring in a win or bust 2-0 home victory over Halifax Town which kept the club in the Football League.
He made his first-team debut against Huddersfield Town in January 1989 six months before signing his first professional contract.
After seven goals in 92 games, and a spell on loan with Cork City, he joined Dover Athletic and later played for Sittingbourne, Ashford Town and Welling United.
