RIP TONY PARRY

Everyone at Gillingham Football Club was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of lifelong supporter Tony Parry

Everyone at Gillingham Football Club was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of lifelong supporter Tony Parry, who passed away last week, at the age of 69, following a long battle with cancer.

Tony first attended Priestfield in the 1952/53 season, along with his school friend and fellow lifelong Gills supporter Mark Agate. Over the next 60 years Tony was present at every milestone in the club's history, witnessing every promotion, relegation, cup giant-killing and, of course, all four play-off final appearances.

He will be laid to rest at 11.00am on Thursday 6 December at Vinters Park Crematorium, Maidstone. The Funeral Director is John Weir, Rainham and charitable donations can be made online to the Molly Wisdom Hospice at www.friendsofthewisdomhospice.org.uk
