Mark played non-league football for Enfield, Aldershot Town, Gravesend & Northfleet and Dagenham & Redbridge before signing for Southend United in January 2004.
After being involved in successive promotions at Roots Hall he declined a new one-year deal to come to Gillingham on a longer two-year contract in May 2006.
He made his debut on the opening day of the following season against Huddersfield Town. It was the first of 195 games in which he scored 15 times.
Towards the end of the 2010-11 campaign he went on loan to Cambridge United before being released in the summer.
The versatile performer is currently club captain at Blue Square Bet Premier Hayes & Yeading.
1982- Bas Savage
Striker Bas had played for Reading, Wycombe Wanderers (loan), Bury (loan) and Bristol City before arriving at Priestfield on an initial three-month contract under Ronnie Jepson.
He made his Gills debut as a substitute when replacing Clint Easton in a 2-1 home against Cheltenham Town.
After scoring once in 15 games he left the club in late January after failing to agree terms on a new contract and moved to Brighton & HA.
Spells have since followed at Millwall, Tranmere Rovers, Dagenham & Redbridge and Northampton Town and he is currently with Tot SC in Thailand
