Just five days to go until Gills discover League One fixtures
There are now just five days to go until the fixtures are released for the 2013/14 league season, and to mark the occasion we’ve delved in to the archives to find a classic match from the last time we competed in the third tier.
The game we have chosen is our home fixture against Leeds United which took place on April 17 2010 at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
After a fine first half performance the Gills found themselves 3-1 up before having to endure a nervy final few minutes when Jermaine Beckford converted from the penalty spot towards the end of the second half.
However the hosts held on to record three important points and a famous win in front of a 9,649 strong crowd.
Below we have put together some highlights from the game as the club prepares for more big encounters next season.
To ensure your place in the stands for games including Wolves and Sheffield United, book your season ticket using the box at the bottom of the page.
