BIRTHS...

The much travelled striker was signed by Gills boss Keith Burkinshaw from Sheffield United in February 1989 for £5,000.
He made his Gillingham debut against Preston North End at Priestfield but after 10 games in which he failed to score he lost his place to Steve Lovell.
Ironically in the next game against Mansfield Town he netted his one goal for the club after replacing Pat Gavin as a substitute.
In total he made 20 appearances before moving to Crewe Alexandra in December 1989.
Further spells followed with Fulham and Racing Ghent of Belgium before appearing for a large number of non-league clubs around the London area.
