BRADFORD CITY – Manager Phil Parkinson, who took over at the Coral Windows Stadium in August 2011, and assistant manager Steve Parkin have signed new three-year deals with the club after leading them into League One via the play-offs.

BRENTFORD – Uwe Rosler’s side face three attractive home friendlies as part of their pre-season build-up. Millwall (July 16), Scottish Premier League champions Celtic (July 20) and ten days later Cardiff City, who will be plying their trade in the Premier League next season, provide the opposition.

BRISTOL CITY – Arsenal youngster Jordan Wynter has agreed a two-year deal at Ashton Gate after turning down a contract extension with the Gunners.

Although offered a new contract at Ashton Gate, keeper Tom Heaton has grabbed the chance to remain in the Championship after joining Burnley on a two-year deal.

CARLISLE UNITED – Manager Greg Abbott and young midfielder Josh Todd have both agreed new 12-month deals to stay at Brunton Park.

The Cumbrians have announced a second home friendly with Bolton Wanderers travelling north on July 23

COLCHESTER UNITED – Arsenal midfielder Craig Eastmond has agreed to join the U’s on a two-year deal when his current contract expires next month. The 22-year-old made 13 appearances while on loan at the Essex club last season.

CREWE ALEXANDRA – Academy product Ollie Turton has signed a new one-year deal with the club. The 20-year-old defender made 24 appearances last season.

Meanwhile Steve Davis’ side will face Aston Villa in a pre-season game at Gresty Road on July 26.

NOTTS COUNTY – Northern Ireland international midfielder Jeff Hughes has rejected a new deal at Meadow Lane opting instead for a move to League Two Fleetwood Town.

OLDHAM ATHLETIC – 24-year-old James Dayton will join the Latics on a two-year deal after rejecting new terms at Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock. The former Crystal Palace midfielder had played alongside Oldham boss Lee Johnson at Rugby Park.

PRESTON NORTH END – Defender Tom Clarke has moved to Deepdale on a two-year deal having been released by Huddersfield Town. He becomes Simon Grayson’s first signing since taking over as manager back in February.

ROTHERHAM UNITED – Right-back Richard Brindley has signed for the Millers on a two-year contract from Chesterfield where he had only made 12 appearances after joining the club from Chelmsford in January.

United have added to their pre-season schedule, after a three-match tour of Scotland where they will play Greenock Morton, Livingston and Ayr United, they will face Bolton Wanderers at the New York Stadium on July 16.

SHREWSBURY TOWN – Midfielder Aaron Wildig and Welsh nder-21 international striker Tom Bradshaw have put pen to paper on the new deals offered by the club.

The Shrews will face two Championship sides at the Greenhous Meadow in pre-season, Bolton Wanderers will visit on July 20 and three days later Birmingham City will make the short journey.

STEVENAGE – Boss Graham Westley has made his first four summer signings, bringing in defender Luke Jones from Mansfield Town, midfielders Simon Heslop and Sam Wedgbury from Oxford United and Macclesfield Town respectively plus former Sunderland striker Oumare Tounkara who was at Bristol Rovers in the closing months of the 2012-13 campaign.

Meanwhile defender Jon Ashton has agreed a new two-year deal at the Lamex Stadium. The 30-year-old is recovering well from an Achilles operation that has kept him sidelined since September.

Boro’ have released Andy Iro, Miguel Comminges and Bondz N'Gala while transfer-listing Anthony Grant, David Gray and Marcus Haber who have 12 months left on their contracts.

SWINDON TOWN – The Robins have rejected a transfer request from Aden Flint after the club recently took up the option of another year on the central defenders contract. It has been reported that Bristol City have had three bids for the 23-year-old rejected, the last being a £300,000 offer.

TRANMERE ROVERS – The pick of the eight pre-season games announced by Tranmere is the visit of Burnley to Prenton Park on July 23.

WALSALL – The Saddlers will entertain near-neighbours Aston Villa in a pre-season friendly on July 31 to mark the clubs 125th Anniversary.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS – Wolves have taken up their option to retain Leigh Griffiths for another year. The striker has been named the players' young player of the year, Clydesdale Bank player of year, and Scottish football writer’s player of the year after an impressive loan spell at SPL Hibernian this season.

Danny Batth, Dave Edwards, George Elokobi and Aaron McCarey have also seen one-year contract extension options taken up by the club.

The club have decided not to offer deals to Christophe Berra, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Stephen Hunt who are all out of contract.
