Local youngsters get up close to the Gills League Two Championship winning trophy
The npower League Two Championship trophy has been making its way around schools in Medway over the last couple of weeks.It has given the club an extraordinary opportunity to share its success with young fans as well as celebrate Gillingham’s centenary season.
Head of Football in the Community Adam Lawrence has accompanied the trophy on its rounds and was delighted to be able to share the club’s achievements with young fans.
He said: “I was ecstatic when the Chairman offered me the opportunity to tour the trophy among the schools in the community. To be able to share something with the youngsters and give something back to the community after an outstanding season was something very special and I was very lucky to be a part of it all.”
