Attacking midfielder Bradley Dack looks forward to Gills FA Cup clash with Brackley Town
The Gills face Skrill North side Brackley Town at MEMS Priestfield Stadium on Saturday in Round One of the FA Cup with Budweiser and young midfielder Bradley Dack is expecting a tough test, saying, “Brackley will be no mugs.“They are going to come here and try to rough us up, probably try to cause an upset, so we’ve got to be totally professional about it. It’s their cup final so we need to go about our jobs like it’s a League game.
“They are going to want to win so much but we need to make sure it’s not going to happen. Brackley have nothing to lose and we have everything to lose. If we win people will say that you’re meant to win those games and if we lose it’s a massive upset.”
Bradley is hoping to force his way into first team contention for the match and admits he’s relishing player under interim manager Peter Taylor, adding, “It feels good since the new managers come in. He’s tried to get his points of view across and his methods and it looks like it’s starting to work.
“I don’t mind where I play, as long as I play. My real position is just off the front man, that’s where I’d like to play but I’ll play anywhere, it doesn’t bother me. As long as we’re winning I’ll do a job for the team.
“I don’t mind playing out wide, in goal, wherever. It’s been frustrating to not be in the team but I know I need to keep working hard and make sure that when I get my chance in the team, I take it.”
