Update on Gills loanees as youngsters head for non-league


Five Gills players have recently agreed loan deals at non-league clubs or decided to extend their existing deals, and we provide a round-up of the recent transfer activity.


Jack Parter, a first year pro, has already played four games for Ramsgate since initially joining the club for a second spell at the start of October, and after a string of fine displays, has now extended his stay by another month.


In the matches he has played the side have won twice and lost twice but Jack was unable to play last weekend against Three Bridges in the FA Trophy due to injury.


Aaron Millbank, a third year scholar at the Gills, has also been getting regular first team football at Ramsgate and the striker has shown some real promise.


In nine games he has been voted the club’s Man of the Match once and scored on two different occasions. The first coming in a game against Whitstable on September 10, and the other on October 12 during a home game against Worthing.



Both players, along with former Gills keeper Daren Hawkes, are likely to be involved in Saturday’s squad for the visit of Sittingbourne.


Elsewhere, Josh Hare has decided to extend his stay at Ryman South side Hastings United by a further month.


The centre-back, who can also play in a holding midfield role, has played four times for the club in total and has signed in time to be able to play against Walton & Hersham at the weekend.


Ashley Miller, who spent some time on loan with Hythe Town last season, has returned to the seaside club on a month’s loan.

He too has featured on many occasions for the development team, but now has the chance to impress and get minutes under his belt at the Skrill South outfit, and will begin his stint with a match against Basingstoke at York Road.
