GILLS ANNOUNCE FUNDRAISING FIXTURES

The Gills will host two fundraising fixtures for our official club charity Take Heart Mercy Mission

Gillingham Football Club will be hosting the first of two fundraising days for our official club charity Take Heart Mercy Mission at the forthcoming Sky Bet League 1 match against Tranmere Rovers on Easter Bank Holiday Friday, 18 April.

The Gills, whose Chairman Paul Scally is also Chairman and a Trustee of Take Heart Mercy Mission, adopted Take Heart as our official club charity in 2012 and will be hosting the fundraising days as part of a summer of charity initiatives at the club.

The match, which kicks-off at 3.00pm, will see the club organise a bucket collection at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium turnstiles, together with a number of other fund-raising opportunities on the day.

The medics and staff from the Evelina Children’s Hospital, who volunteer their services every year for our Mercy Missions, will also be attending and will be presented to the Gillingham supporters before kick-off at the match.

Gillingham’s second Take Heart fundraising match has been scheduled for the first home fixture of the 2014/15 campaign, in August. A date and kick-off time for the game will be confirmed when the new Football League season’s fixtures are announced in June 2014.

The club will be announcing further fundraising initiatives in the coming days so watch out for further announcements on how you can get involved.
