DONCASTER V GILLINGHAMSky Bet League One
The Keepmoat Stadium
Saturday December 13
Kick-Off, 3pm
Team News:
Gillingham will be without left back Adam Chicksen who has been recalled by parent club Brighton. As a result Joe Martin is likely to deputise in defence.
Danny Galbraith is eligible after signing for the club on a free transfer while Aaron Morris has a chance of making the squad following a hamstring problem.
As for Doncaster defenders Reece Wabara and Enda Stevens, who has extended his loan from Premier League side Aston Villa until January, were rested as Rovers lost 1-0 to Notts County midweek.
Richie Wellens and James Coppinger were also taken out of the firing line on Tuesday night and started on the bench.
Manager Comments:
Peter Taylor says he is well aware of Doncaster’s home record this season and believes the game could be shaped around how his team starts.
He said: “We will look to start better than them, it will be a good game and Paul Dickov wants them to play committed Football and he expects them to work as hard as he did as a player.
“We are on a good run and we want to keep that going.”
Paul Dickov said: “We have a big game on Saturday, it’s a game we want to win and we’ve spoken at length about our home form.
“We have to be mentally strong and play the Football we know we can play.
“Gillingham are unbeaten in their last five games and have a good, experienced Manager and they’re in good form.”
