MYLES WESTON JOINS SOUTHEND UNITED ON TWO YEAR DEAL

Former Gills winger Myles Weston signs for Southend United

Myles Weston has joined League Two side Southend United on a two-year deal.

The winger was released by Gills last month having enjoyed a successful stint at MEMS Priestfield Stadium, including promotion in his very first year after the club won the League Two Championship at the end of the 2012/13 campaign.

He remained a first team regular in 2013/14, with Martin Allen and Peter Taylor regularly starting Myles on the left side of midfield.

In total he scored 10 goals in 86 appearances for Gillingham - his last strike coming in the 4-3 defeat to Rotherham on April 5.

Gillingham FC would like to thank Myles for his services while at the club and we wish him well during his time at Roots Hall.
