AARON MORRIS SIGNS FOR GILLINGHAM FC

Gills capture second signing of the day as Aaron Morris agrees to join the club on July 1

Peter Taylor has made his second signing of the day with the capture of midfielder Aaron Morris.

The 24-year-old will join the Gills on July 1 having enjoyed his most recent spell at League Two side AFC Wimbledon, making 17 appearances for the Dons after agreeing a short term deal in January.

Aaron began his career in the youth ranks at Cardiff City, making his debut in a 2-1 home win in the Capital One Cup against MK Dons at Ninian Park on August 26 2008.

His only league appearance came over 18 months later when he came off the bench in the 82nd minute in a 2-0 defeat to Derby County.

He moved to Aldershot Town in the summer of 2010, via a short loan spell at Newport, where he would go on to make 114 appearances in all competitions.

However cruciate ligament damage last April forced him out of action for eight months, before electing to join AFC Wimbledon until the end of the 2013/14 season.

The news of his signing comes hours after Peter Taylor secured the signature of Glenn Morris from Aldershot Town.

Aaron has agreed a two year deal.
