Former Gills striker Adam Birchall joins non-league Bromley for the 2014/15 season
Adam Birchall has signed for Skrill South side Bromley for the 2014/15 season after being released by Gillingham. The striker, 29, joined the Gills in the summer of 2011 on a three year contract, but suffered a serious injury in one of his first games for the club which ruled him out of the entire season.
He eventually made his competitive debut as a sub in the 2-1 win over Bristol City in the first round of the Capital One Cup in August 2012.
A few months later, via his first loan spell at Dartford, he scored what turned out to be his one and only goal for Gills in a 4-0 victory over Scunthorpe at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
Last season he joined Dartford once more, scoring twice, before returning to Gills where he came off the bench twice in matches against Crawley and Leyton Orient.
Birchall will be hoping to repeat the goalscoring record he had at Dover prior to his arrival at Priestfield, having scored 64 goals in 78 matches for the Whites.
We would like to thank Adam for his efforts while at Gillingham, and we wish him well during his stay at Hayes Lane.
It has also been announced that Harry Grant, a former Gills midfielder, has signed for Mark Goldberg's side.
