Jake Hessenthaler wins two awards at Player of the Year Event at Priestfield
Jake Hessenthaler was one of the big winners at our `Player of the Year` event on Saturday evening after picking up two awards. The 19-year-old's effort against Coventry won him `Goal of the Season,`, before being voted `Young Player of the Year`, narrowly beating Bradley Dack for the honour.
The central midfielder has had a tremendous season after making his debut against Rotherham last November.
A string of fine performances regularly saw him in contention for a first team place, and his goal against Coventry came just a month after signing a new four-and-a-half year contract.
An exclusive interview with Jake will appear on the website shortly.
