TAYLOR AGREES TO STAY ON AS GILLS BOSS

Peter Taylor has agreed to stay on as Gillingham FC Manager for another two years

Chairman Paul Scally has announced that Peter Taylor has agreed to stay on as Gillingham Manager for another two years.

The announcement was made during the club's `Player of the Year` event at MEMS Priestfield Stadium on Saturday evening.

The deal will see Taylor remain at the club until the end of the 2015/16 league season.

A contract has not yet been signed, however Taylor welcomed the offer and said he was looking forward to "building a team."

Following the 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury on the final day of the season, Taylor said a decision would, ideally, need to be taken `quickly`, and over dinner a deal was reached.

We will bring you an exclusive video interview with Peter in the coming days.
