Gills boss Peter Taylor said a draw was a fair result for both teams following a 0-0 draw at Priestfield against Walsall
Peter Taylor felt the 0-0 draw against Walsall on Saturday was `a fair result. `The Gills could have taken all three points with a couple of chances in the second half, but Walsall ensured that the points were shared on an afternoon which Manager Peter Taylor described as frustrating.
Speaking after the game he said: “I think it was a fair result, we should have opened them up a couple of times when McGlashan got in, but we didn’t.
“A bit of a frustrating day because I think we are a lot better than that but you can’t change it now and we need to learn from it and I have no doubt that we will.
“We are a young team so there will be times [like Saturday], and I could see certain supporters were disappointed, but we are still improving and it doesn’t mean that you beat Peterborough in the week and then turn anybody over.
“It doesn’t work like that and we will have days like today.”
