PRESTON V GILLINGHAM FC: MATCH PREVIEW

We bring you the manager comments, latest odds and team news ahead of Tuesday night's visit to Deepdale

PRESTON V GILLINGHAM
Sky Bet League One
Deepdale
Tuesday April 14
Kick-Off, 745pm

Team News:

Joe Martin and Danny Galbraith (hamstrings) are the only injury concerns for Manager Justin Edinburgh. Danny is the most likely to be involved with the match perhaps coming too soon for the recovering left back.

Luke Norris (stomach) should be fit to play.

As for Preston they could have a fully fit squad to choose from if Paul Huntington overcomes his recent injury problem.

Manager Comments:

Simon Grayson – "They've had some good results, that's why you can't underestimate anybody. Just because they're probably not going to go down, not going to go up, there are only a few teams in our division I think who have got nothing much to play for but they are playing for their futures, and their football club.

"They recently went to Bristol City and got a result there and beat Bradford at the weekend so that's a reason for people to keep their focus and their eye on the ball." (quotes courtesy of PNE club website).

Justin Edinburgh – “We’ve been very good away from home and we’ll take confidence into the game but we know what we are up against.

“We won’t be an easy game for anyone, there is too much pride and we want to see if we can get 60 points.”

Previous Meetings:

Preston took maximum points from Priestfield earlier in the season when the aforementioned Huntington struck to earn a 1-0 win for the Lilywhites.

They also did the double over Gillingham last season – a 2-1 win at Priestfield followed up with a 3-1 triumph in Lancashire.

In total the two clubs have met on 54 occasions – Preston edge the head to head statistics with 18 wins to 15. The other 21 games have been draws.

Betting:

Preston Win – 1/3
Draw – 15/4
Gillingham Win – 17/2

Special Bet: Bradley Dack to score first in a 2-2 draw – 270/1.
