GILLINGHAM LADIES ANNOUNCES SEASON TICKET OFFER

Ladies Team Offers Season Ticket

Gillingham Ladies wrapped up the pre-season in convincing style with a 6-1 win over Aylesford Ladies at Chatham Town FC on Wednesday evening.

Goals from Louise Lorton (2), Fiona Constable, Hannah Gauci, Jade Keogh and Shannon Redhouse concluded a busy pre-season for the ladies team as they prepare for a new FA WPL campaign starting this Sunday.

The squad has travelled to play Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers, as well as welcome Brighton and Hove Albion Development and West Ham Ladies, amongst other fixtures this Summer.

Gillingham Ladies now look ahead to Sunday’s opening game and the visit of Ipswich Town Ladies.

Captain Lauren Williams hopes fans will be able to support the girls on the opening day, building upon the momentum of a good pre-season.

“It’s been a great pre-season for the squad. There’s a host of new, exciting players joining the club, along with girls from our Centre of Excellence; we’ve had lots of opportunity to get to know one another and we’re a tight knit group. We all want to work hard for one another and are completely focused on making this season a memorable one.”

“Through all the highs and lows of the past couple of seasons, we’ve always relied on a strong fanbase who’ve supported us know matter what. At the start of the season, it would be great to make Chatham Town really feel like home. Ipswich will provide a tough test for us and any extra advantage we can create with a big crowd will be a bonus.”

Ahead of Wednesday’s final pre-season game, Gillingham Ladies announced fans will be able to purchase a season ticket for the very first time, something Williams applauds.

“It’s another good step for us off of the pitch. We’ve developed a strong base of supporters and it’s nice to be able to reward their loyalty with this discounted offer and for fans to be able to show their commitment to us in return. All the money we make from ticket, programme sales goes straight back into the club, allowing us girls to not have to pay to play and train which is a fantastic gesture from the club.”

“I hope lots of people will buy a season ticket, as a sign of solidarity to what we’re trying to achieve for the women’s game as much as anything. Sunday is a big day for us and to have the fans there alongside us will be huge.”

As the club’s fan base grows from season to season, it’s with great delight the club can reveal season ticket details for the new FA WPL campaign.

Season tickets for adults will cost just £25 and enable Gills Ladies fans access to all league home games and half price tickets for cup fixtures.

With the likes of MK Dons, Crystal Palace and Norwich City visiting Gills Ladies this season, there is set to be some great battles ahead for the team and fans can expect some surprise visitors throughout the season too!

Season tickets will be available to purchase from the club’s ticket office, as well as at match days, including this Sunday’s opening game against Ipswich Town Ladies.
