The club's Canterbury Academy are welcoming interest from prospective players ahead of the new season
Gillingham Football Club's Canterbury Academy are busy preparing themselves ahead of the new season.Head Coach Dean Grant, his assistant Bryan Taylor, and his squad had an excellent 2014-15 campaign and the team will be keen to pick up where they left off when their fixtures start again in September.
The Academy is going into its third season with the Gills and has proven to be a huge success, with all students in the programme coming from Canterbury High School where they study as well as train like the pros.
Grant, who also plays for Faversham Town, won Coach of the Year for his efforts last season while at the school with Team Captain Billy Mason given an award for Outstanding Leadership.
Harry Phillips was awarded Player of the Year.
And although the new season is nearly upon us, it's not too late to register your interest.
