Gillingham pairing in the frame to win first Manager and Player awards of 2015-16 Sky Bet League One season
Justin Edinburgh and Bradley Dack are among the nominees for the Manager and Player of the Month awards for August.The Gills boss has guided the Kent Club to fourth in the League One table with an unbeaten record during the opening month of the season, while Dack has found the net five times in his opening seven appearances in all competitions.
Gillingham began the season in convincing fashion, defeating Sheffield United 4-0 before coming from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Plymouth in the Capital One Cup.
A 1-1 draw at Port Vale followed prior to an impressive 2-1 victory over Bradford at Valley Parade.
Wigan were next to visit Priestfield, with Gills clinching maximum points once again with a 2-0 victory thanks to a brace from Dack.
Gills were beaten 2-0 at Birmingham in the Cup, but bounced back to earn a point against Peterborough on Saturday in another 1-1 draw.
Winners of both awards will be announced on Friday.
