TEAM NEWS
Aaron Morris, Jonathan Bond, Josh Pask and Lee Martin still remain on the sidelines for Gillingham ahead of their trip to Cambridgeshire.

Edinburgh praised his team after the victory against MK Dons last weekend, but wants to keep up the good form away from home.

“That [win against MK Dons] is what we wanted, a good start [to the Christmas period],” said Edinburgh. “We’ve got a tough game away at Peterborough next week, but I think we are in a good place right now and we want to keep that going.

“We have got to try and be more determined away from home. It’s going to be a tough game – they are in fine form themselves – but we’re looking forward to it.

“They play the diamond formation like we did last year. We understand that formation, so hopefully we can go and impose ourselves.

“We have four games 16 days and it could be a defining moment in our season going forward, but there is a more positive mood in and around camp and I am pleased for the players, because that’s what we want.”

THE OPPOSITION
United come into the fixture having lost just one game in 10, and winning the last three, scoring nine goals in the process.

Grant McCann’s team sit in sixth place in the Sky Bet League One table, six places above the Gills with six points more.

Top scorer Gwion Edwards has seven goals in 21 games this campaign, and scored an early goal midweek to help Posh to an FA Cup replay victory over Notts County at the ABAX. Edwards also won Sky Bet League One’s goal of the weekend for his solo effort against Chesterfield last week, and is the one to watch for United.

Strikers Tom Nichols and Marcus Maddison have also been in good form for Posh, scoring six goals each this season.

LAST TIME WE MET
The teams last met at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium back in January, when the Gills ran out 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Luke Norris and Bradley Dack after Erhun Oztumer gave the visitors a first-half lead.

The teams have met 44 times in total, with the Gills winning 13, drawing 18 and losing 13.
