The Gills strengthen their defence by bringing in Adam El-Abd
The defender has put pen to paper on a deal that keeps him at the Gills on loan until the end of the season.The 31-year old enjoyed 11 years at Brighton and Hove Albion before signing for Bristol City in 2014. He also has been capped by his country, Egypt, seven times.
The loan deal of El-Abd looks like a promising addition to the squad after the series of injuries to the back four in recent weeks.
Bristol City have a recall clause after 28 days.
The addition of El-Abd means the Gills will not be bringing back Deji Oshilaja. Cardiff City have suffered injury problems at the back and the former Gills loanee will feature in their squad in the coming weeks.
