The club's fixtures ahead of the 2016/17 season have been announced.
Gillingham will play Southend United at Roots Hall on the opening day of the 2016/17 Sky Bet League One season.
All fixtures for the EFL were announced on Wednesday morning, with Justin Edinburgh’s side travelling to Essex on Saturday, August 6.
The first round of the EFL Cup takes place four days later on Wednesday, August 10, with the Gills finding out at 1pm today who they will face.
We then welcome Bury and Swindon Town to the MEMS Priestfield Stadium for back-to-back home games on Saturday, August 13 and Tuesday, August 16 respectively.
Charlton Athletic will visit Priestfield on October 22 with MK Dons and Bolton Wanderers, having also been relegated from the Championship, travelling to Kent on March 14 and December 17 respectively.
On Boxing Day Gillingham will face Peterborough away before making the trip to the New Den to face beaten League One Play-Off finalists on the last calendar day of the year. The first game of 2017 is at home to Oxford United.
Newly promoted AFC Wimbledon travel to the Gills on January 7 and the final game of the season is an away trip to Northampton Town on April 30.
