What does charity mean to you? … an answer to loneliness… a second chance… an important part of society?
If you type ‘charity is’ into Google, the predictive text will tell you ‘charity is bad’. Launched by Charity Bank, the #CharityIs campaign aims to challenge these negative perceptions by shouting out about the great work done by charities around the country and to raise the collective profile of charities.
We asked the Community Trust team and Gills staff what charity meant to them;
Charity Bank is a new breed of bank and is entirely owned by charitable foundations, trusts and social purpose organisations. They were founded to support charities with loans that they couldn’t find elsewhere and to show people how their savings could be invested ethically and in ways that would make them happy.
They are an ethical bank for everyone who knows banks can do better and a bank for people who believe that banking should always work for good. So when they say that they are an ethical bank they mean it.
