TOMMY TREWBLU IS BACK

Tommy Trewblu returned to the MEMS Priestfield Stadium for the game against Sheffield United on Sunday.

After several years travelling across the globe, Tommy T is back at the Gills and ready to cheer the team on to hopefully another successful season on the pitch.

The Gills mascot was last seen in the 2014/15 season, before embarking on an around-the-world tour during which he visited countries like Australia, Turkey, France for the Euro 2016 tournament and Brazil for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Tommy T took centre stage before kick-off on Sunday afternoon, as he and another Gills legend in Tony Cascarino walked onto the pitch and soaked up the applause from supporters. At half-time the returning Gill handed out sweets and posed for photos with young Gillingham fans, who were patient in waiting two years for Kent’s favourite mascot to return.

Flyers for our 2016/17 Junior Members and Next Gen Gills clubs were also distributed on Sunday. These special memberships are the best way for 0 to 18-year-olds to receive exclusive offers and FREE tickets to selected games.

Missed the game on Sunday? Do not worry, as your next chance to see Tommy is on Saturday, September 10, when the Gills take on Bradford City in League One. Click here to buy tickets.
