TWO GILLS LEGENDS RETURN ON SUNDAY

Kidz 4 A Quid day already proving popular with supporters

The Sky Sports cameras are in town, it’s Kidz 4 A Quid day at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium, and now the club are delighted to announce that not one, but TWO Gills legends will be making an appearance on Sunday.

Justin Edinburgh’s team face Sheffield United in Sky Bet League One, but there will be plenty going on around the stadium in addition to the on-field action.

Tony Cascarino will return to the MEMS Priestfield Stadium for the game, and the Gills legend will be making an appearance in the Factory around 30 minutes before the 2.15pm kick-off, so make sure you head down to our popular bar. The Factory will be showing the early League One match between MK Dons and Northampton on our HD screens, as well as serving great food and guest ales.

The former Republic of Ireland international made 219 appearances for the Gills between 1981 and 1987, scoring an impressive 78 goals. Cascarino then went on to play for giants of the game in Chelsea, Marseille, Celtic and Aston Villa.

The second Gills legend making a return has been away for the past two years horsing around, but will be returning to the MEMS Priestfield Stadium for every upcoming home game. The returning legend was, and still is, a fans’ favourite, especially with our younger supporters and comes back to Kent after travelling the world, having been last spotted at the 2016 Rio Olympics. More information will follow in the coming days.

PLEASE NOTE: The game is a 2.15pm kick off, and fans are advised to purchase online by clicking here.  Supporters are encouraged to book in advance for all home fixtures this season, as prices will increase by £2 on matchdays.
