MEMS PRIESTFIELD STADIUM

SKY BET LEAGUE 1

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 25

KICK-OFF, 3PM

Team News:

Max Ehmer returns to the Gills squad after serving his one match ban. Tom Eaves will be fit after suffering an injury in scoring Tuesday’s equaliser against Blackpool.

Alex Lacey (ankle) has trained all week and could feature; Bradley Garmston (hamstring) is less likely to be involved but is progressing well.

As for Oldham they will have midfielder Dan Gardner available following suspension.

Winger Ryan McLaughlin (hamstring) remains out of action, as does midfielder Gyamfi Kyeremeh (groin).

Manager Comments:

Steve Lovell – “Oldham have a new manager and are doing quite well themselves but the boys will be confident and we're looking forward to it.

“We need to match them, challenge them and stop them making chances.”

Richie Wellens - “We’ve watched a couple of videos on them, so the lads will be okay and ready to go on Saturday.

“We obviously want a result. People always say ‘let’s get so many points out of these games’, but I’ll keep saying it again, concentrate on the performance. The performance levels are there.

“Everyone’s confident. Everyone’s playing well. Keep doing that and play the same levels we did on Tuesday night and we’ll win the game.”

Previous Meetings:

The clubs last met in January earlier this year when Josh Law’s 39th-minute strike was enough to secure a 1-0 win for the Latics at Boundary Park.

The reverse fixture at Priestfield, in October 2016, saw the visitors clinch maximum points with Ryan Flynn scoring in the 89th minute with Freddie Ladapo having cancelled out Cody McDonald’s early opener.

In total the two clubs have met on 47 occasions; Oldham have won 24 of those fixtures with Gills on 17 victories.

Odds:

Gillingham win – 21/10

Draw – 12/5

Oldham win – 5/4

Special bet: Sean Clare to score first in a 2-1 Gills win = 110/1.
