Tomas Holy reacts following victory at Priestfield.
Gills keeper Tomas Holy praised the togetherness of the team following Saturday’s 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic.
Tomas was named man of the match after a fine display between the sticks which helped Gillingham to not just all three points but a clean sheet too.
After the game he said: “These three points are the most important for us. It was our eighth game and it’s for the supporters and the club, it was really good.
“I feel quite good because I made a couple of saves, perhaps a bit of luck sometimes but it was due to teamwork, one man isn’t enough. I need them and the boys need me, we played like one man. It was great. The supporters here are absolutely fantastic.
“We can build up from this; we play again Saturday and we have to play absolutely the same.”
The keeper admitted he received a bit of stick in the second half from the Addicks fans, when asked about it he replied: “I don’t know how many people there were from Charlton, they called me something that I don’t understand, so it’s fine!
“It’s normal stuff in every game; it’s no problem for me.”
