Steve Lovell's side preparing to take on Millwall.

MILLWALL V GILLINGHAM

Carabao Cup First Round

The Den

Tuesday August 14

Kick-Off, 7.45pm

Team News:

Elliott List (shoulder) and Josh Rees (ankle) are near certainties to miss out. Alex Lacey and Callum Reilly are still a few days short of match fitness but Conor Wilkinson could be in line to make an appearance after suffering a couple of minor niggles, including a dead leg.

Dean Parrett (hamstring) is out with a hamstring problem.

Manager Comments:

Neil Harris – “My challenge is to continue building a team that fights, scraps, upsets the odds, puts bums on seats and wins matches. I love rising to that challenge. My hunger is stronger than ever to make this team even better.”

Steve Lovell – “Whoever comes in will put on a shift and will understand what we are trying to do, they will enjoy going out and playing for us.

"A cup can distract you, but not for us, we will just look to go on and put on a performance again.”

Previous Meetings:

The clubs last met on April 8, 2017 at Priestfield when Gills had to settle for a point against the Lions. On loan striker Joe Quigley put the hosts in front, only for Steve Morison to equalise five minutes later.

In total the sides have met on 99 occasions. Millwall have 50 wins to 27.

Odds:

Millwall win – 1/2

Draw – 16/5

Gills win – 11/2

Special bet: Billy Bingham to score first in a 2-1 Gills win – 500/1.
