GILLINGHAM V FLEETWOOD TOWN

Sky Bet League 1

MEMS Priestfield Stadium

Saturday January 27

Kick-Off, 3pm

Team News:

Scott Wagstaff (hamstring) is unlikely to be risked despite training on Thursday and Friday. However, he may be fit enough to make the bench.

Gabriel Zakuani picked up a knock earlier in the week but should be fit to play. Franck Moussa is eligible for selection after signing a deal until the end of the season.

Callum Reilly could make his home debut.

As for Fleetwood, Kevin O'Connor could make his debut following his arrival on Thursday. Baily Cargill was recalled from his loan spell by Bournemouth and has since joined Partick Thistle. Bobby Grant (knee) is unlikely to start.

Manager Comments:

Steve Lovell – “At home we haven't started as brightly as we should do so that's something we need to address.

“Teams will have a different approach to us now than they would have done six games ago. It will be a tough game and we have to be ready for everything Fleetwood throw at us.”

Uwe Rosler - “Gillingham have match winners in their team.

“They have a lot of experience in their team and know how to get wins, it reminds me of what we were like last season with the energy and spirit.

“When a team goes behind against them at the moment, they find it very difficult to get back into the match.”

Previous Meetings:

The clubs last met just five weeks ago at Highbury Stadium where Gills recorded an impressive 2-0 victory thanks to two goals in the opening 15 minutes from Josh Parker and Luke O’Neill.

Last season Fleetwood recorded the double over Gillingham, winning 2-1 at Highbury and scoring in the dying moments at Priestfield to secure a 3-2 victory. In total the clubs have met on nine occasions with Fleetwood winning five games, and Gillingham only two.

Odds:

Gills win – 6/4

Draw – 9/5

Fleetwood win – 11/10
