Roman Campbell leaves Gillingham FC

Academy graduate leaves Gills and signs for Sittingbourne.

Gillingham FC can confirm that Roman Campbell has left MEMS Priestfield after the player, along with the club, decided to terminate his contract by mutual consent.

Roman has since signed for Sittingbourne, who he had a loan spell with earlier this season.

The 19-year-old striker, who came through the youth system at ME7, played a pivotal role in getting Gills to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup last season and featured heavily during pre-season, but in an attempt to gain regular first-team Football he enjoyed loan spells with Sittingbourne, Margate and Ramsgate.

The club would like to thank Roman for his services while at the Gills, and we wish him well for the future.
