Andy Hessenthaler to feature in charity game at Sittingbourne Football Club this weekend

Former Gills captain to take part in charity fixture this weekend to support Breast Cancer Now.

Andy Hessenthaler, the club's Head of Recruitment, will be taking part in a charity fixture this coming Saturday at Sittingbourne Football Club.

The game is set to get underway at 3pm at Woodstock Park. This is in support of Breast Cancer Now, the research and care charity.

Did you know, someone dies of breast cancer every 45 minutes in the UK, with over 11,500 people dying every year?

Sittingbourne FC will be combining a group of ex-fan favourite players who have all represented the club in the past to take on a Fugati XI, made up of ex-pros.

Former Gills striker Danny Kedwell is due to take part in what is a ticket only event. Kevin Lisbie, formerly of Charlton, Gillingham and Leyton Orient is also set to feature. Nicky Shorey, Luke Rooney, Steve Morison and Danny Graham are also on the initial list of players due to play.
