Millen | "Newport will cause us different problems"

Keith Millen says his players know what to expect when Newport travel to Priestfield on Saturday.

Keith Millen has instructed his Gillingham players to 'set the tone' when Newport visit Priestfield Stadium on Saturday.

Gills put in a strong midweek performance against Swindon, taking home all three points, and the interim boss is now calling for more of the same.

Newport have been defeated in their last four away games and will be looking to stop the disappointing sequence as soon as possible. Millen, however, wants to make sure it doesn't end this weekend at ME7.

"They will be strong, aggressive and all of what you would expect from a Graham Coughlan side. We will be ready for that.

“They are not on a great run of form but that’s always dangerous because they will be looking to the next game to turn it around, we have to make sure it’s not us.

"It will be down to us to take the onus and try and force the play a little more as the home team.

"Going forwards we need to have that balance of keeping a clean sheet but also having an end product.

"I have seen Newport, they will cause us different problems to our previous matches but my job is to win football matches and we are in it to win games."
