Stephen Clemence eager for his players to embrace the challenge Wrexham will pose at ME7 this weekend.
Priestfield Stadium will be packed to the rafters when Wrexham visit on Saturday, and there won't be a single empty seat in the house.
Wrexham, with it's A-lister owners Ryan Reynolds and Mathew Rob McElhenney, have become one of the most famous teams on the planet courtesy of the insightful Disney documentary Welcome to Wrexham, but Stephen Clemence is keen to treat the fixture like any other.
"We want to win it," said the Gills boss. "I have a group of young men in the changing room who are determined, and they should be looking forward to taking on Wrexham.
"This is no bigger game than any other one, but obviously there are a lot of people turning up here on Saturday. There will be a big crowd and there is a lot of interest with everything that has gone on at Wrexham over the last two or three years.
"I have had plenty of ticket requests, probably double or triple that I normally get. There is plenty of publicity but at the end of the day they are a good team and so are we.
"For us it is another game and it is one we are looking forward to and we will be looking to win it.
"It will be two good teams and we will offer a threat to them and we will need to be wary of what they can bring as well. We will have to bring our 'A game' to get a result, but I believe that we can do that.
"I'm trying to look up the table rather than down it. If we can beat Wrexham at the weekend then we go eight points behind them. That's the way I'm looking at it, and that is what we have to do.
"When the boys cross that white line, they should be looking forward to taking on a team who have done well this season.
"There will be a big crowd here and they will get right behind us, I know they will. The atmosphere will be electric and I am looking forward to it."
