Former local broadcaster Geoff Clark has died at the age of 77.
The club is devastated to learn of the passing of our good friend, and former local TV broadcaster, Geoff Clark.
Geoff, who used to work on the news team at ITV Meridian from 1998 until 2005, and BBC South East Today thereafter until 2009, was a regular at Priestfield Stadium and often performed matchday hosting duties in the boardroom, including interviewing the “Man of the Match” and welcoming vice presidents, sponsors, and guests from the opposition club.
He relocated to the West Country prior to the COVID-19 pandemic to be closer to his family.
He had been suffering with a short illness and passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, surrounded by his family, at the age of 77.
