Our aim is to go there and win, says Jonny Williams.
Jonny Williams says that the Gills team are feeling confident ahead of this weekend's clash with MK Dons and the players are eager to demonstrate that they have what it takes for a promotion push.
The midfielder, who spent time on loan at Stadium MK in 2016, admits that the opposition will not be easy to topple but insists that he has every faith in his teammates as they keep up the hunt for a play-off place.
"We have an opportunity to get in the play-offs in front of us," said the former Welsh international. "The last six weeks we have had some really good results that have put us close to the play-offs. Looking towards the remaining games of the season, we have a real chance to get in the play-offs. The belief in the team is good enough, we have good enough players and it is down to us and the staff to make sure we get over the line and get in there and stay there.
"We have a really good squad with great strength and depth in every position which gives the manager a headache each week. That is great because it makes us strong and when injuries do happen we have people who can fill in and do a job as good as the person who is playing.
"We have a strong squad that are all ready to play their part from now until the end of the season. We will be giving our all, like we do every week, and we will see where it takes us. The top seven is in reach.
"MK Dons got a really good result at the weekend in a derby game (beating Wimbledon 3-1 at home), they have a really good squad, a good manager, and they want to play nice football. We are going to have to respect that at times, but not too much because we want to go there and win the game.
"You want to beat the teams around the top and that is what we have to do. It should be a really good game. We are unbeaten in four and we are aiming to go there and win and get ourselves in the play-offs.
"There is not a team in the league who we don't think we can beat. We are confident that we can go to MK Dons and get a result."
